Advisory – Data Protection, Cybersecurity & You
In mid-September 2019, local newspapers and news sites reported that the number of organisations subject to enforcement action for breaching Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) had reached a new high. Fines had also exceeded all preceding years combined.
The Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) requires organisations to demonstrate accountability – that is, they must be able to ensure, and demonstrate to the PDPC, that they comply with the PDPA. And more and more customers now conduct PDPA compliance due diligence on their suppliers.
Are you ready to demonstrate accountability and compliance credibly in data protection? And where does cybersecurity fit into the picture for you?
DPOs, Legal Officers, IT Managers, and all interested in data protection, join us for an informative afternoon to learn about:
- latest developments and requirements in data protection in the region
- how to handle NRICs
- cybersecurity & cyber insurance
- what the Data Protection Trustmark is and what it means for your business
- how organisations in Singapore can demonstrate accountability with data protection requirements
